What… is this?
Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition looks like — and seemingly is — a cutesy re-skin of the hit 2016 game from Square Enix. It’s a re-telling of the console game’s story for your Android, iOS, and Windows 10 mobile devices.
To make the sprawling game more digestible for smaller screens, Square has broken up the original game’s extensive story across 10 episodes, with the first of those to be released for free later this year.
The trailer above shows the game in action and, surprisingly, it does look faithful to the 2016 game. The graphics are obviously toned way down, but everything else — from dialogue to exploration and combat to Ignis’ fine-looking meals — looks to be intact.
